A fellow Greener emailed me yesterday (Greeners are people who went to the Evergreen State College) about new media brainstorming. Sounds like he might know of some interesting sites. Here's one: Jamglue.com
I wrote about remix websites in my thesis, (the user-malleable media chapter). I am in the process of applying this same kind of idea to video.

National Geographic Virus Documentary
Here's a clip from the last film I worked on for Sea Studios. I cannot tell you how hard it was to find prairie vole stock footage. I ended up posting a want ad on a digital videography forum. Then a few months later, a filmmaker from Pronghorn Productions emailed to say he had just caught a prairie vole and shot some footage. I don't know what we would have done without the footage.

Why don't we ride zebras? Documentary
Here's the final version of my film. Sorry for the watermark, but youtube has some weird policies about rights. If you read the fine print, it says that youtube kinda "owns" the rights to what is uploaded. But the watermark fixes that!

Blogging
Now that I am officially done with my thesis / film, I have noticed that my blog has gotten away from its new found purpose. (It's original purpose was to get me through my thesis). Mission accomplished, but now it should serve as a resource for new media, documentary, and education. I will probably continue to sprinkle it with things going on in my life, but I am back to scouring the twitterspace and the web for useful information. Here's three gems I found today:
